IBF has submitted applications for the inclusion of Para Bowling, Wheelchair classification, and for Ninepin Classic bowling for the 12th edition of The World Games which will take place from 7th to 17th August 2025.
The host city will be the mega-city Chengdu in the People’s Republic of China. The guidelines of the IWGA strategy paper ‘Growth Beyond Excellence’, adopted in November 2020, will be applied for the first time at TWG 2025. For the third time in the history of The World Games since 1981, the multi-sport event is a guest in Asia.
IBF has submitted applications for:
- Elite Men’s and Women’s Tenpin Singles and Team event.
- Para Bowling Wheelchair Elite Men’s and Women’s Singles and Doubles.
- Ninepin Classic event for Singles and Doubles.
IBF Exclusive Tenpin Partner, QubicaAMF, will deliver World Class facilities the tenpin competitions.
IBF Exclusive Ninepin Partner, Funk Bowling, will deliver World Class facilities for the Ninepin Competition.
Tenpin Qualification for the 12th edition of The World Games will come via Continental Events and the 2024 IBF World Cup.
The application includes an increase in days of competition format and schedule from five to seven.
