Dubai also features stunning nature including sea beaches and mountain peaks. \nDubai is also a land of natural beauty and diversity extending over an area of 4\,000 square kilometres combining foothills\, high sand dunes and mountains at Hatta. \nIBF Masters World Championship 2021 \nCategories for each gender per age category will be: \n\nSingles  (Maximum four athletes per gender per federation)\nDoubles (Maximum two doubles per gender per federation)\nTeam (Maximum one team (4 athletes) per gender per federation)\nMixed Team (Maximum two mixed teams per country (2 female +2 male per team))\nMost Valuable Athlete Medal per gender\nMost valuable Federation Trophy per gender\nMost valuable Federation Trophy (combined female and male)\n\nIf a federation can only send one athlete then that athlete will only compete in the Singles event. \nIf a federation sends two male athletes and two female athletes then they will enter the singles\, doubles and mixed team event. \nA federation can bring a maximum of eight athletes per gender\, if desired\, though each event holds a maximum number of participants per federation.  Meaning not all eight athletes can compete in the same category.  As example;  Four could compete in the singles event and a different four could compete in the doubles. \nMost Valuable Athlete Medal and Federation Trophy will be earnt from positioning NOT pinfall. \nMost Valuable Athlete Medal will be based on any athlete who competes in all four primary medal phases:  Singles\, Doubles\, Trios and Team \nMost Valuable Federation Trophy per gender will be based on the results of the federation per gender in all five medal phases: Singles\, Doubles\, Trios\, Team and Mixed Team \nBack to top \nScoring Method\nTraditional Scoring system will be used across all World Championships formats. \nStyle of play\nDual lane style\n• A game shall be played on two lanes (a pair) immediately adjoining each other.\n• Individual entrants shall successively and in regular order bowl one frame on one lane\, and for the next frame alternate and use the other lane until five frames are bowled on each lane of the pair \nMatch play group format\n• Each athlete bowls one match against every other athlete in the group\n• Matches consist of one game \nBack to top \nSingles 50+ \nPlayers Nomination\nAll federations are allowed to enter four singles 50+ athletes per gender. The athlete nominations must be delivered to IBF Tournament office in Dubai International Bowling Center no later than 18:00 (6.00pm) on Nov 17th. 10 games divided into two squads of 5 games each. Top 32 athletes qualify for group match play. Two players per lane. Change of lane after each game. A detailed lane movement schedule will be presented before the start of the event. \nTies to advance to match play will be broken by a one game match between the tied athletes. The tie-breaker match will take place one hour prior to the start of the group match play round. Additional ties will be broken by a 9th & 10th frame roll-off. Ties for position in groups will be broken by highest last game in qualification. If a tie still exists it’s broken by highest 9th game and so forth until tie is broken. \nThe Leaderboard will be split into four groups (A\,B\,C\,D) using a snake system. The snake will start with the highest finisher being placed in group A and moves across each group. \nSingles group match play\n32 athletes qualify from qualification. Four groups of 8 athletes are created based on position in qualification. \nEach group will play 7 games Round Robin. 3 points will be awarded for a win in a match\, 1 point to each athlete for a tie. From each of the 4 groups the top 2 athletes in points will advance to quarter-finals. Athletes will play on one pair of lanes\, one athlete per lane. Lanes are assigned from a predetermined schedule. \nTies in a group to advance will be broken by a one game match between the tied athletes. The tie-breaker match will take place immediately after last group match have been played. Additional ties will be broken by a 9th & 10th frame roll-off. \nSingles quarter-finals\nEight athletes qualify from group match play. Winners in each match play group will play second place athletes. Quarter-finals will be played over one game. Winners advance to the semi-final. \nQuarter-finals will be played on one pair of lanes\, one athlete per lane. Highest ranked athlete from group match play gets the chose starting lane (left or right). Ties for ranking will be broken by total pinfall in qualification. In addition to that a shot clock will be used in every game played. The shot clock will be strictly enforced during every aspect of the tournament. \nI. The following time rules apply and will be strictly enforced during the entire event.\nII. First shot in a frame. When your opponent leaves the approach and you have a full set of pins\, you have 30 (thirty) seconds complete your shot. The shot is deemed complete in shot clock terms when the ball is fully released and has passed the foul line.\nIII. Second shot in a frame. After your first ball have returned to the ball return\, you have 30 (thirty) seconds to complete your shot. The shot is deemed complete in shot clock terms when the ball is fully released and has passed the foul line.\nIV. First offence: A warning for slow bowling is given to the player/team\nV. Second offence: The shot will count as a foul\, nulling any pins knocked down in that shot.\nVI.
